Elleby, Nancy (Smith) age 93, Bloomington, MN died March 22, 2018, on what would have been Gordon and her 71st anniversary. Preceded by husband Gordon, parents Jane and G Kendall Smith, brother Peter Kendall Smith; survived by sisters Ann and Shelly, children Jane (David), Molly (Howard), Duffy (Nancy), grand- children Nathan, Robin (Clint), Kendall, Katy, great-grandchildren Lincoln and Parker, favorite niece Sarah, and favorite canine Rye Elleby. Graduated West High, University of MN. Nana enjoyed a wicked hand of bridge, tennis, gardening, birding, volunteering at ANW and Highland Park Preserve bluebird boxes. We'll remember her unconditional support, her wise perspective, her charming wit, appreciation of a good laugh, and articulate problem solving. She modeled kindness and non-judgmental inclusiveness. She and Gordon were devoted fans of all things grandchildren! Our family wishes to thank the staff of Friendship Village and Regina of Allina Hospice for their loving and respectful care. Private service at a future date. Donations to MN Landscape Arboretum, Peter Kendall Smith Fund for youth baseball or charity of choice.
