MacKrell, Constance L. "Connie" (Nordstrom) Age 69, of Golden Valley passed away peacefully at home on March 22, surrounded by loved ones, after a hard fought battle with ovarian cancer. Connie was a 1st grade school teacher making school exciting for many young students by decorating her classrooms and welcoming them with a smile. After leaving teaching Connie decided to take her creative abilities into the retail arena and helped many have a beautiful home or wardrobe. Connie also shared a very special side of herself by volunteering with Park Nicollet Hospice. This same hospice provided Connie a graceful transition. Connie is survived by her daughter Jenna MacKrell, sister Sandy MacKrell, niece Jennifer Hahn (Irving, Christopher, Michael and Jonathan) and brother Greg (Sue, Annika, Justin). Connie is preceded in death by her loving husband Rick, Elwood and Mary Nordstrom (parents) and Carol (sister). Connie had many life-long friends who helped to care for her. We would like to thank all of you. Sue and Michael Frantz, Sue and Jim Cullen, Nancy Dahlien, and many others we have not forgotten. Connie's support team of doctors and nurses helped her live life filled with joy and beauty. Memorial services 12 noon Friday March 30th, with visitation one hour prior, at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, West 50th St. and Vernon Ave at Hwy 100.
