He is survived by daughter Terri Woelfle (Wes), sons Steve Green (Pauline), and Bob Green (Jennifer), seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchil-dren and one brother, Rodney Green (Guadalupe). Marv was born in Redfield, SD and graduated from Canton High School in 1949. He met Audrey on a blind date in 1950 and was married in 1952. Later that year he was drafted into the Army Military Police Corps, during which time he was able to live off-base with Audrey and welcomed their first child, Terri. Following his discharge in 1954, Steve was born, and Marv returned to his civilian job. In 1956, Marv borrowed $300 and, with a wife and two children, headed to Rapid City, SD to attend South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, pursuing a career in Engineering. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the top of his class in 1960 and took a job with Control Data in Minneapolis. In 1961, son Bob was born. A brilliant engineer, he held patents for computer design that helped shape the early days of computer design and manufacturing. He worked on contracts with the U.S. government and the NASA Space Program. He progressed into management and later joined Midwest Systems, a start-up subsidiary of Memorex, as Director of Engineering. In 1972, he moved his 40 engineers and technicians to Santa Clara, CA as Memorex consolidated their operations. In 1976, he returned to Control Data in Minneapolis. He later joined the start-up ETA Systems, a super-computer subsidiary of Control Data and retired from there. He then participated in some smaller ventures and consulting before retiring completely. Marv received Christ into his life and was baptized shortly before marrying Audrey. He served his Lord faithfully for the rest of his life, active in his church and serving in many roles, including singing in the choirs for over 30 years. He also sang with the Valley Chorale while in California, touring and performing throughout the area. He was a devoted husband, father, grand-father (Papa) and great-grandfather (Great-Papa) and his unconditional love, humility, generosity and strong bear hugs will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 29th at Oak Grove Church, 5920 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley at 11 AM.
