Thayer, Donna Lee May 12, 1939 - March 17, 2018 Beloved mom of Tracey Thayer Breazeale (Jeff) and Tyrone Kent Thayer Jr (Betsy). Beloved grandmother, Ama, of Anderson, Thayer, Madry, Ballard, Bridget and Matilda. Beloved sister of Carolyn Warkentin. Donna lost her 2 and a half year battle with Ovarian Cancer on 3/17/18. Born in St. Joseph, Missouri. Donna spent much of her younger years in Olathe, Kansas where she was active in the 4-H club and did some modeling. Donna attended Drake University and then settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Donna lived her life with strength and optimism. She loved her family tremendously and many of her favorite times were spent with them playing cards, playing monopoly, shopping, sewing, going out for dinner, celebrating special times and traveling. Donna was a kind and supportive person in the lives of many. Over the years Donna was involved with the PTA, the League of Women's Voters, numerous tennis and golf leagues. She was an avid bridge player right up until the end of her life. She was a social person and her many friendships gave her great joy. A celebration of Donna's life will be held in May.
