Tierney, Joyce Marie of Dover, DE, formerly of Wilson, WI, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 16, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones. She was 65. Mrs. Tierney was born November 8, 1952 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Edward Tossey and Mabel Bronson Tossey. She worked for most of her life as a caregiver and ended her career at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Mrs. Tierney enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, being with family, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas P. Tierney, Jr. and her brother Wayne Tossey. She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Jason) Bowen of Dover; Anna (Joel) MacIntyre of Roseville, MN; step-daughters Michele Tierney, Marlene Munger, Bridget Tierney and step-son Tony Tierney. Siblings: Edward Tossey, Karen (Mike) Vanderveer, Barb (Robert) Salas and Robert Tossey. Grandchildren: Tierney, Brynn and Sean Bowen; Ava and Jackson MacIntyre; Jeremey and Dustin Munger; Cassandra Wilson; and Caleb and Paul Tierney. Services will be private.
