Cargill, Richard C. "Dick" Age 83, of Plymouth passed away peacefully at home on March 12, surrounded by loving family. Preceded in death by parents John and Dolly; beloved brother, Johnny. Born October 20, 1934 in Wayzata, MN and was a graduate of Wayzata schools and the Univ. of Minnesota. Served in the U.S. Army and returned to the States to marry college sweetheart, Lila Carlson, in 1958. Survived by siblings, Kathleen (Mike Busch) and Herb (Linda); family, Lila and three Cargill daughters, Kari (Nathan Anderson), Kristin (Dan Endy) and Kelly; grandchildren, Dutch and Maari Endy, Jackson and Anna Bigley. A lifelong resident of the Wayzata area, he taught English in the Wayzata Schools before becoming a chemical dependency counselor. He was a self-taught blacksmith and worked for many years as a farrier. Among his varied interests were reading, old-time movies, music, fly fishing and reminiscing. A private burial will take place this summer at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wayzata followed by a gathering at the family home for friends and family, date to be announced.
