Benz, David R. Age 62, of Plymouth passed away on March 12, 2018. He is survived by sons, Brian (Emily) and Jared; granddaughter, Lucy; former wife and friend, Janet (Bruce Meyer); brothers, Jim & John (La Vada); sister, Mary (Chuck) Brenner and many nieces, nephews, friends, and lifelong friends, Glenn and Joan Affeldt. He was preceded in death by son, Christopher and parents, Albert and Ruth. Dave was born July 21, 1955 in La Crosse, WI to Albert & Ruth (Jensen) Benz, the youngest of their 4 children. Dave was an avid outdoors man, enjoying time with family and friends at the Hog Barn and fishing at Lake Kashabowie. He treasured spending time with his boys, especially the days spent on the ball field coaching them in Little League. Dave was a dedicated and passionate engineer for Thermo King for the past 26 years. Dave's knack for storytelling, melt-in-your-mouth steaks and love of ice cream will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 23rd at 6pm at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. North. Visitation will begin at 4pm.
