Michaelis, Duane A. DDS Age 82 of Anoka passed away 3/5/18. Preceded in death by parents, Hugo & Ann (Benson) step-mother, Gertrude (Kuffel); brothers, Loring & Gary; and sister, Ruth Ann Latkoff. Survived by wife of 58 years, Carol; daughters, Kate and Lynne; son, John (Mary Jane); grandchildren, Ryan (Allie) & Niki (Sarah); great- grandson, Blake, a two-year-old ultimate entertainer and a guaranteed day brightener; sister, Donna (Steve) Braun; brother, Lee Benson; also survived by many other close family & friends. Duane was a 1961 graduate of the U of MN Dental School which he affectionately called Ding-Dong School; he dearly loved his profession. Duane thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing & playing poker with the guys. A very special and heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff at JA Wedum Residential Hospice; their TLC and kindness to Duane and his family will long be remembered. Visitation: 3-6PM, Sunday, 3/11 at Gearhart Anoka Chapel, 552 East River Rd. and 1 hr. prior to Mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial: 11AM, MONDAY, 3/12 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St. @ 5th Ave., Anoka. A private interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka.
