Dosh, Reverend Mark B. After 59 years of faithful priestly ministry, Father Mark Dosh entered into the mystery of Divine Mercy which wipes away all sin and embraces us in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ on February 1st. He was ordained June 29, 1958, and was always thankful for the gift of the holy priesthood and the privilege of celebrating Mass. He had a distinguished academic career with degrees from Louvain (Belgium), the Angelicum in Rome, and Yale. He served in richly varied roles: founding member of the archdiocesan ecumenical commission, advisor to National Bishops Conference on healthcare ethics, professor at the St. Paul Seminary, and missionary in Venezuela. He will be greatly missed by the entire Dosh clan as well as his parish families: St. Pius X (White Bear Lake), San Francisco de Asis (Venezuela), and most recently as beloved pastor of St. John the Baptist (Excelsior). In retirement he served at St. Charles Borromeo where he had spent earlier years in ministry. His farewell: "Think not of Dosh, think of Jesus! Jesus is everything! Jesus wants to save everyone! Jesus, I trust in You! May Divine Mercy take all of our prayers and sufferings for the benefit of the entire Body of Christ which is the Church, inviting so many into His tender embrace forever!" Monday Feb 5: Visitation 4-7pm, Prayer service 7pm followed by an all-night vigil at the Church of St. John the Baptist, 680 Mill St., Excelsior. Tuesday Feb 6: Visitation 9:30am with 10:30am Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Charles Borromeo, 2739 Stinson Blvd., St. Anthony. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights. Memorials preferred to Prolife Across America or the Little Sisters of the Poor in gratitude for their loving care in his last months.
