Fondell, Frank Leonard Age 92 of New Hope, went home peacefully January 31, 2018. He served in the Navy in WWII, followed by a few years in the reserves. Most important in Frank's life was faith and family. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and he sang in their chorus for over 30 years. His 30 plus years of retirement were spent volunteering with the Special Olympics, People Serving People, Sharing and Caring Hands, Little Brothers of the Elderly, and the Church of St. Helena. Preceded in death by his parents, Leona and Frank; brother, James; son, Thomas; and grandson, Connor. Survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 65 years, Rose; children, Renee, Chris (Lauren), Michele (Michael), Jeanne (Randy), Joe (Robin), Annette; 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Friday, February 2nd at Church of St. Helena, 3204 E. 43rd St., Minneapolis 55406. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church.
