Swanson, Gene Age 68, of Minneapolis passed peacefully at home on January 18, 2018. Preceded in death by parents, Frank, Irma, and Donna; sister, Joan. Survived by spouse, Christine Painter; siblings, Karen, Jane (Harlan), Delwin (Deb), Cindy, Kevin (Luanne), John (Jeanine), Kristine (Jim), Mary (Aaron) and loving extended family and friends. Born and raised in Minneapolis and graduated from South High. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. A memorial gathering will be held Tuesday, January 23rd from 3-6pm at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park. Cremation Society of MN 763-560-3100
