Berdella 'Berde' (Sather) Grass

Grass, Berdella "Berde" Sather 94 of Mpls, died peacefully 1/15/2018 surrounded by family. A veteran of WWII, she served in the WAVES. She married Lorn Grass in 1946 & had 4 children. She got her Master's Degree in 1977 & taught for over 30 years in WI. She moved to Mpls in 1989. Here she maintained a strong community of friends & family at the Augustana church & the Southside Singers until her passing. Her loves were singing, dancing & typing. She is survived in death by 3 of her children; John, Carma & Kristin & daughter-in-law Deena. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Dan, Andy, Tena, Randi & Heidi; & her great-grandchildren Griffin, Easton, Alex, Aaron, Olivia, Haley, Sydney, Jolee, Noelle & Gratia. She is preceded in death by her husband Lorn, son Steve & son-in-law Gene. She loved all & will be remembered well by all. Donations in her memory are appreciated at cesmn.org. Per Berde's request, no memorial service will be held; "you can cry a little, but you only get 2 tissues!"
