Starkey, Richard Leonard Passed away on January 8th, following an illness with cancer. Dick was born on May 19th, 1930 in Michigan. He married his high school sweetheart and the "love of his life", Phyllis. They were happily married for 68 years. Dick had a successful career as a Partner with Arthur Andersen and Company. In his 28 years of retirement, he became an avid golfer, and enjoyed wonderful times with family and friends. The joy of Dick's life was his family. He leaves behind his wife, Phyllis of 68 years, a sister, Gloria Hogan, three children, Susan Maughan (Gary), Robert (Tammy), and Mark (Lois), along with 6 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. Those who had the privilege of knowing Dick were touched by his integrity, wisdom, humor, and love - the traits that defined him throughout his life. The family will celebrate Dick's life in a small private service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Gifts may be made online at this link: pcf.org/c/richard-starkey/ or checks may be sent to the Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401. Please include 'In Richard L. Starkey's memory' on the memo line so that we may thank you for your generous gift. David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata 952-473-5577 davidleefuneralhome.com
