Now NOW's going for Margaret Anderson Kelliher, too.

The Minnesota Chapter of the National Organization for Women has endorsed DFL gubernatorial candidate Margaret Anderson Kelliher, along with DFL candidate Matt Entenza, chair of its political action committee Gordy Gustafson said Tuesday.

Minnesota NOW raised some eyebrows Sunday after Entenza announced he'd received their endorsement because he is running in a primary against Kelliher, the only female candidate in the race.

But Gustafson said NOW's PAC simply hadn't completely its endorsement work by the end of the weekend. Once it did, on Monday night, it also found Kelliher worthy of endorsement.

"It wasn't that we didn't endorse her it is just that we hadn't completed the process," Gustafson said.

Now that they have, Kelliher rating an "A" rating, just like Entenza, he said. An "A" rating equals endorsement.

The group also rated Dayton. He got a "C" rating, because of his answers to an abortion question and a welfare reform question.

An endorsement gives candidates access to the MN NOW mailing lists. According to the group's website, it has about 2,400 members.
