Craig Yehlik of New Richmond, Wis., clocked into his deer stand Friday at 4:28 p.m.

When leaves immediately rustled behind him, he guessed wild turkeys. Soon the leaves were crunching just 15 yards away. It was a buck.

At 4:44 p.m., the buck was slowly quartering away. Yehlik shot his Bowtech RPM 360 using a Swhacker broadhead. The buck — taken on private land in Wisconsin's St. Croix County — was one of the biggest he ever harvested.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
