The Wild and Avalanche rekindled their rivalry two years ago with an epic and chippy seven-game playoff series won by Minnesota. The Wild had the upper hand again last year, making the postseason while the Avs tumbled to last place in the Central Division.

It was more of the same early this year, with the Wild off to a hot start and Colorado mired in last place again. But the Avs passed the Wild in the standings Saturday, offering a dig on Twitter in the process. The Avalanche account tweeted at the Wild a video of one runner sprinting past the other with the words "on your left" on the screen.
