March 12, 2019 at 1:15AM

Two wins from a National Women's Hockey League championship, the Minnesota Whitecaps have a chance to play both playoff games on home ice this weekend.

The semifinal between the Whitecaps and Metropolitan Riveters, postponed Sunday because of weather-related travel issues for the Riveters, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Tria Rink in St. Paul, the NHWL announced. The winner will face the Buffalo Beauts in the Isobel Cup Final at 1 p.m. Sunday, also at Tria.

Two exhibition games for Lynx

The Lynx will play two preseason games — May 10 vs. Washington at Target Center and May 19 at Las Vegas — leading into its 21st WNBA season, then team announced. Season-ticket holders also will be invited to watch the Lynx scrimmage the Chinese national team at 6 p.m. May 15 at Target Center. Members will receive tickets through their Flash Seats account.

The Lynx will open the season at home on May 25 against the Chicago Sky.
