This may itself be a less-than-colorblind observation, but after reading about so many racially charged incidents lately, it was nice to see three white players and three black players from Michigan State in jumping-hugging fits of joy on the front of the sports section Monday. I love sports and wish our society could emulate the importance of results over race, religion and politics. Perhaps we would see less bigotry and brick-throwing. Here's to humble winners, gracious losers, and playing the next game. RICHARD WIDEN, MINNEAPOLIS
