The fourth and final robber to be sentenced in the holdup of a Hastings motel is headed to prison, a Dakota County judge ordered Tuesday.

Michael Dziubak, 22, of St. Paul, was sentenced to four years and two months for the robbery, which was led by William J. Boldt, a convict released from prison a couple of days earlier.

A clerk was bound with duct tape but otherwise unharmed as the small band of robbers made off with several hundred dollars on Jan. 20.

Tuesday, Judge Catherine Messerich sentenced Dziubak as an accomplice in the armed robbery of the AmericInn Hotel, to which he pleaded guilty earlier. Messerich also ordered restitution in an amount to be determined.

The leader, Boldt, 38, of St. Paul, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 years in prison in February. Two other co-defendants have already been sentenced: Lorenzo Barker, 21, of St. Paul, got two months in jail and Ebony Black, 22, of West St. Paul, got 31 days.

When Boldt and crew robbed the motel, he was fresh out of prison after serving a five-year term for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Now, he's at the state prison in St. Cloud with a release date in 2029.
