Our 10-year-old grandson, Logan Murphy, of St. Cloud, has been talking about deer hunting the last four years. This year he was able to hunt with his grandfather, Rick Murphy of Osakis, for the first time.
Logan was amazing! After sitting for 11 hours, Logan saw a nice doe in his shooting lane. He watched her until she moved on — soon replaced by a good sized buck 80 yards out, in perfect position.
Yes! One perfectly positioned shot was all it took just five minutes before the end of legal shooting time. An amazing hunt for a kid who put in the time required to achieve success.
Deb Murphy, Osakis, Minn.
