HUDSON, Wis. — A defense witness accused of threatening prosecutors during the Aaron Schaffhausen trial has been sentenced to probation.

Joseph Rollag was arrested at the St. Croix County courthouse in April. He's a friend of Schaffhausen and was scheduled to testify on his behalf. Schaffhausen was convicted of killing his three daughters and was sentenced to life in prison.

Court documents say a nurse who was evaluating Rollag said he was sitting outside the courthouse and was having thoughts of harming or killing prosecutors and witnesses testifying against Schaffhausen.

WQOW-TV (http://bit.ly/13VOWZM ) says Rollag has been sentenced to 18 months of probation with the condition he continue mental health treatment.
