Franken, a onetime comic, stars in a comic

Senator will headline comic book in May

Sen. Al Franken, who has labored mightily to distance himself from his past life as a comedian and satirist, will be the subject of a comic book to be published in May.

Comic book publisher Bluewater Productions announced this week that Franken will be the featured character in its "Political Power" series, which has formerly featured such pols as Ronald Reagan, Barack Obama and Ted Kennedy.
