High pressure stretching over western Europe will cut off any Atlantic storms for another two to three days. The outcome will be plenty of warm, or at least mild, weather for much of the United Kingdom, France, the Low Countries, Spain and Portugal.

In England, highest temperatures, bolstered by sunshine, will reach at least 70 degrees on Thursday; western France will see at least 75 degrees.

Beginning on Friday, the high will pull away to the east allowing unsettled weather to spread into Europe from the west.
