We missed this last week, but a couple of adept e-mails reminded us: There is a new NFL concussion lawsuit, and former Vikings QB Daunte Culpepper is part of it.
Clinton Portis joined the stream of former players suing the NFL over head injuries, according to court records obtained by The Washington Times. Portis is the lead plaintiff in an 83-player lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Other plaintiffs include former Pro Bowl quarterback Daunte Culpepper and 1,000-yard rusher Carnell “Cadillac” Williams.
It will be interesting to see where this stacks up with the numerous other lawsuits out there.
One thing for sure: Daunte could use the money.
