According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the agency's 545 sworn officers include 50 women and 19 racial-minority-group members, with two women appearing on both lists. Of the 50 women, 42 are troopers, four are lieutenants, three are captains and one is a major. Here are membership breakdowns, and ranks, by racial minority groups:

Hispanic: Seven troopers.

Asian/Pacific Islander: Four troopers.

American Indian/Alaska Native: Three troopers and one lieutenant.

African-American: One trooper.

Nonspecified: Three troopers.
