A native of St. Joseph, Minn., Kuebelbeck and her husband have two daughters and live in St. Paul. She graduated from the College of St. Benedict and has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota. She has written two books related to the topics of prenatal diagnosis and palliative care, has been a copy editor for Better Homes & Gardens Special Interest Media, and also coordinates liturgical music for a church in St. Paul and plays piano and guitar. She and her husband, a journalism professor, recently spent a semester living in Prague.

Amy Kuebelbeck is a copy editor for the Star Tribune. She previously worked for the Associated Press in Minneapolis, including covering the Minnesota Legislature, and was the AP’s election stringer coordinator for four states. She has also written for the Los Angeles Times, Seattle Times and Grand Forks (N.D.) Herald.
