A little rain and a tad of congestion added some time to the drive this morning, but overall Tuesday was a decent commute.
Prolonged slow downs did persist on westbound 694 between 35E and Hwy. 100, with trip times between 18 and 24 minutes during the heart of the rush. There were no crashes reported on the stretch, just lots of cars. Things are starting to thin out and speeds are getting back to near the posted.
The most violent crash occurred just before 6 a.m. on northbound 35W. A vehicle rolled over at 35th Street and that had two right lanes blocked for more than an hour. By 7, traffic had stacked up back to 50th Street. Once the crash was cleared, traffic made a nice recovery.
