Nate Berkus for Target launches

Last weekend saw the debut of the first home collection from Nate Berkus for Target. The line kicks off a multi-year collaboration between the retailer and the big-name interior designer -- a Minnesota native who rose to fame as a design expert on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" before launching his own talk show. The eclectic line of 150 home goods and accessories, which will be continually refreshed, includes duvet sets ($89.99), throw pillows ($25) and bath towels ($5.99-$9.99), plus various decorative pieces. (Available now in stores and at www.target.com.)

Maiden Minnesota

With everything from luxury baked goods to handcrafted fine jewelry, Maiden Minnesota is one of the best pop-up markets of the year. It just so happens that all the products come from women-owned local businesses. Offerings from more than 35 vendors include jewelry from Realia by Jen, SBG and Bridget Clark; handbags by Nelle; luggage by J. W. Hulme; skin care by Epitome and StormSister Spatique; hand-knits by Kedrin and baked goods by Cocoa and Fig. Each ticket includes a free drink, with a portion going to charity. An extra $10 donation gets you a swag bag. (5-10 p.m. Fri. $20-$30. Graves 601 Hotel, 601 N. 1st St, Mpls. www.maiden minnesota.com.)
