Rick Spielman intended to be more aggressive for the Vikings in college free agency, so he opened up the wallet.

The Vikings agreed to terms with 13 undrafted free agents Monday, including former Illini quarterback Wes Lunt and Iowa State tackle Nick Fett.

They made two hefty guarantees to defensive linemen, adding LSU’s Tashawn Bower on a $45,000 guarantee and Southern Mississippi’s Dylan Bradley with a $40,000 guarantee. Both received a $15,000 signing bonus. Each team is permitted up to $98,340 for signing bonuses for 2017 UDFAs, however that total can be worked around by guaranteeing actual salary for priority players.

For a comparison, quarterback Taylor Heinicke and safety Anthony Harris each received $20,000 guaranteed to lead the Vikings’ undrafted free agent signings two years ago.
