U.S. to offer drones to Pakistan

Unarmed aerial vehicles take on added role

The U.S. is offering a dozen drones to Pakistan. www.nytimes.com/2010/01/22/world/asia/22pstan.html The Shadow drones are smaller and unarmed, different than the Predator drones (or unmanned aerial vehicles) which are used by the U.S. military and the CIA.

Some military drone flights in Afghanistan and Iraq are conducted remotely in North Dakota by pilots of the North Dakota Air National Guard.www.startribune.com/local/63939107.html
