Good day from rainy Vancouver.

Quick Wild update because I'm meeting up with Pierre-Marc Bouchard for a story I'm doing on him later this week.

From the Wild's very early practice at the University of British Columbia's Thunderbird Arena this morning:

-- Mikko Koivu and coach Todd Richards had a long talk by the benches after players started leaving the ice. The subject? Neither was tipping his hand. All Richards would say is, "There's a chance" Koivu returns tomorrow against the red-hot Vancouver Canucks, who are playing great hockey right now and are coming off a 5-0 road trip. Decision after pregame skate as to whether he's playing for sure, Richards said.

-- Cal Clutterbuck practiced fully today and pushed it to the max. But he is still having headaches and says he doesn't know what to attribute it to, whether it's the hit or the Wild southeast, southwest, northwest travel, the time zone changes, the daylight savings change, the extremely early practice or all of the above. He doesn't know yet if he'll play tomorrow. They'll figure it out in the morning.

-- Clayton Stoner practiced today and is questionable for tomorrow. The B.C. native said the other day he was hoping to play tomorrow.

-- No callup yet, so with Guillaume Latendresse in Minnesota, either the Wild will have to recall a forward, play 7 defensemen or Koivu and/or Clutterbuck returns.

-- Josh Harding joined the trip to be with the team. He did not practice today.
