MANKATO -- The Malcom Floyd sweepstakes are over.
The wide receiver in whom the Vikings had interest has re-signed with the San Diego Chargers. Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune and Adam Schefter of ESPN both reported that Floyd will return to San DIego on a two-year deal.
The Ravens were also strong bidders for Floyd, but Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun reported the team struggled to clear cap room.
The Vikings, meanwhile, were still talking to Floyd as of a couple of days ago but it's not known if they were ever close on any type of agreement.
