Coaches, scouts hit road for Pro Days

NFL coaches, scouts and personnel departments had a chance to evaluate prospects during individual drills and interview them in 15-minute sessions at the NFL Scouting Combine.

But the information-gathering process continues this week with a number of college Pro Days, including Auburn on Tuesday.

Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton is certain to draw a big crowd for his Pro Day workout. Newton struggled in the passing drills at the combine so he has a chance to have a better showing Tuesday. Teams will get to watch Newton make more throws than he did at the combine, hoping to get a better feel for his footwork, accuracy, mechanics, etc.

The Vikings coaches, scouts and personnel department led by Rick Spielman will hit a number of Pro Day workouts this week. NFL.com has the list of Pro Days right here. Those dates tend to change, but some high-profile schools are scheduled to hold their workouts this week, including Oklahoma, Alabama, Nebraska, Oregon, Wisconsin, Ohio State and TCU.
