To no one's surprise, Brett Favre was not on the field for Wednesday's practice. Favre presumably was getting treatment on his left ankle while the Vikings went through their Wednesday workout.

Also absent was Pro Bowl left guard Steve Hutchinson, who watched from the sideline with a sleeve on his right leg. We will know the nature of Hutchinson's injury when we get the injury report later today.

Safety Husain Abdullah returned to practice after missing all of last week because of a concussion. Abdullah seemed to be moving well in individual drills and we'll see if he was able to participate fully when we get the injury report.
