Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin will undergo an MRI on his bruised hip after aggravating the injury while blocking in the second quarter of the Vikings' 14-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Mall of America Field at the Metrodome.
Harvin's injury is a significant problem for a wide receiver corps that already had only four players. This will lead to even more speculation that the Vikings will make a real bid to trade for San Diego's Vincent Jackson in the next couple of days.
The 6-5 Jackson is exactly the type of play-making wide receiver the Vikings miss with Sidney Rice sidelined because of a hip injury.
Asked about possibly getting Jackson on the roster, Favre did not bite after Sunday's game: "It’s not for me to decide. I’ve heard the talk just like everyone else has heard, and I’ll tell you the same thing I tell everyone else. You know as much as I know. But we’ve got to play Detroit [next Sunday] and all I know is we have to get better, the guys we have in the room. I can’t speak for other guys who are not here."
