From London …
Access Vikings American Invasion, Day 6

LONDON – Saturday morning, Chip Scoggins chose to breakfast with a former Viking. I picked the current Queen. Chip went over to hear Daunte Culpepper answer questions from fans. And, yes, not even 4,000 miles and eight years can separate Daunte from the Love Boat.

As for me, the Queen, for some reason, didn't show up for our one-on-one, so I went with Plan B: A New York style hot dog in a park outside the gates of Buckingham Palace. And the Diet Pepsi, again, came in a small container. (Note to self: Upon arrival at MSP on Monday, order the biggest Big Gulp you can find.)

Chip caught up to me at Winston Churchill's underground War Rooms museum. Best museum I've ever been to. Seriously, if you're ever in London, it, to me, is a must see. It also should make NFL teams, fans and media ashamed to call NFL draft rooms "War Rooms."

One of the first photos I saw Chip take was that roundabout seen in Chevy Chase's "European Vacation." And, yes, we both said, "Look kids, there's Big Ben" a couple of times.

Drove by a car dealer selling cars for 1.2 million pounds. Don't think I can handle the payments on that one. Or the area with the three-bedroom apartments that go for 6 million pounds. They say Mozart was born and lived in one of the buildings. Googled Mozart and found out he was born in 1756. Told my realtor I need something a little newer with four bedrooms and an office.

Walked around Westminster Abbey, parliament and over the Westminster Bridge. Looking around, I had two thoughts: What an incredible city and what amazing architecture. Actually, there was a third thought: For a country that drinks as much beer as these people do, there are an amazingly small number of public restrooms.

We ended the day trying to find a college football game to watch on TV. It's not easy, folks. So we rubbed a Tennessee Vols jersey on Chip's nose and yelled, "Go get him, Old Yeller." He couldn't find the Gophers, but he did find Georgia-LSU. So we scratched behind his ear and let him eat at the table with us.

Walked home in the rain, which was, believe it or not, the first significant rain of the week. Now we're just sitting around waiting for a "noon home" game that starts at 6 p.m. 4,000 miles from the Metrodome.
