A day after the Twins dropped Game 1 of their two-game set with Chicago by a score of 5-2, Carl Pavano will climb the mound with a 3-2 record and 2.86 ERA in 5 career starts against the White Sox. Meanwhile, John Danks is 4-5 with a 5.13 ERA in 14 games against Minnesota.
Joe Mauer, who went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in his reemergence at catcher yesterday, and Justin Morneau each have a .345 lifetime average (10-for-29) against Danks. While the Canadian Crusher has hit three bombs off the right-hander, Michael Cuddyer has nailed five with a .515 career average (17-for-33) and 11 RBI. Watch out for those guys, along with Jason Kubel, who's driven in nine runs on 7 hits with 3 doubles and a longball of his own off Danks.
