DETROIT -- Ben Revere is on his way from Class AAA Rochester and will join the Twins in Kansas City on Thursday, when the team plans to place either Jason Kubel or Jim Thome on the disabled list.
I'm really not sure who it will be. Kubel sprained his left foot Monday and had some trouble getting through light exercises on Wednesday.
Thome strained his left quadriceps muscle on Wednesday. The team is calling it a mild strain, but Thome said he could feel it when he was running.
"Somebody's gotta go on the DL," Manager Ron Gardenhire said. "I can't play two players down and can't play day-to-day with everybody."
Revere was batting .303 for Rochester and batted .242 in 15 games for the Twins last month.
