Arms wanted Three pitchers who could interest the Twins:

ø Brett Anderson, lefthander: There is definite interest by the Twins in Anderson, whose promise as a pitcher has been disrupted by injuries. He threw 175⅓ innings as a 21-year-old with Oakland in 2009 and has not gotten close to that total since. A good mid-rotation starter when healthy.

Ryan Vogelsong, righthander: Vogelsong is 37 years old but was functional for the Giants last season. He walks a few batters but can miss a few bats, too. The latter could help with a transition to the American League, but the Twins have swung and missed with bringing NL starters over.

Carlos Villanueva, righthander: He could be a fit because he could start or work in long relief, which the Twins need after deciding not to keep Anthony Swarzak. Hopefully, Villanueva would bring his handlebar mustache and throw his eephus pitch a few times.
