TWINS UPDATE

Pelfrey will make his fifth start of the season against the Tigers. He’s 2-2 with a 4.70 ERA so far. ... Correia is 0-1 with a 2.63 ERA in two starts against the Tigers. ... Reliever Anthony Swarzak is expected to rejoin the team Monday after missing three games while attending to a personal matter. ... No current Twins regular is batting above .263 against the Tigers this season. Josh Willingham has four home runs against the Tigers but is batting just .178 against them. ... The Twins have been shut out 14 times this season, tying a club record set five other times.

TIGERS UPDATE

MVP candidate Miguel Cabrera, who has been bothered by abdominal issues for much of the season, could get a couple of days off. ... Former Twins star Torii Hunter is headed to his seventh postseason: four with the Twins, two with the Angels and now one with the Tigers. ... Cabrera is batting just .254 against the Twins this season with two homers and 15 RBI. But Prince Fielder has cleaned up after him, batting .302 with three homers and 14 RBI.
