For the season, Jim 11-5, David 7-9. Add them together and there's two more wins than losses. With good reason, however. On two occasions, Jim and David actually agreed. It may happen again this week. Crazy world.

Here is a look at three metro games of note on this weekend's schedule.

FRIDAY

Eden Prairie (3-0) at Hopkins (4-0), 7 p.m.

Jim says: I've always thought of Hopkins as a sleeping giant, a program on the cusp. This season the Royals have shown maturity and grit. But beat Eden Prairie? Hopkins has given up an average of 47 points per game in their past six meetings.

Pick: Eden Prairie 40, Hopkins 24

David says: So I suppose this is the talented Hopkins team that will shock the world by upsetting Eden Prairie, right? It's been said before. But in the end, it's not about whether the Eagles will win, just by how much.

Pick: Eden Prairie 35, Hopkins 14

Woodbury (2-1) at East Ridge (1-2), 7 p.m.

Jim says: Woodbury is one partially blocked field goal from being 3-0. The Royals' offensive balance -- a near 50-50 run/pass spilt -- should be enough for them to come out on top in this east metro intracity battle.

Pick: Woodbury 17, East Ridge 13

David says: Split that offense any way you like -- the tough and tested Raptors will answer. In the Suburban East Conference, they're second against the run and fifth against the pass. And that's having played offensive dynamo Cretin-Derham Hall.

Pick: East Ridge 21, Woodbury 16

SATURDAY

Spring Lake Park (3-0) at Cooper (2-1), 3 p.m.

Jim says: This is not your typical Cooper team. The Hawks' explosiveness on offense will test Spring Lake Park's defensive resolve. But in any matchup of irresistible force vs. immovable object, take defense every time.

Pick: Spring Lake Park 29, Cooper 20.

David says: Cooper's playmakers and 52 points per game provide flash, but Spring Lake Park players and coaches will tell you: The Hawks' physical play commands respect. If the Hawks get an early lead, the Panthers are in trouble.

Pick: Cooper 27, Spring Lake Park 21
