Lynx lose second straight

It doesn’t get any easier.

The Lynx, whose offense has been taking entire halves of games off of late, have to figure out how to end that trend, and they’ll have to do it without practice.

After losing to Phoenix on Sunday at Target Center the Lynx have to travel to L.A. tomorrow, then play a back-to-back against the Sparks and at Phoenix on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Here are a few observations from today’s game, the first victory for Phoenix over Minnesota in 11 tries.

--Maya Moore has got to get her shot back. She’s shooting just north of 30 percent in her last four games, three of which have been Lynx losses.

--The Lynx defense has to improve. Minnesota uses its defense to trigger its offense.

--It was good to see Monica Wright return to the court. Wright, who had knee surgery in late April, made her debut Sunday, scoring three points with an assist in 5:33 of playing time. Coach Cheryl Reeve is going to bring her back slowly, but the Lynx need her defense and speed back as quickly as possible.

--Asia Taylor was perhaps the most aggressive player in a Lynx uniform tonight.  She attacked the rim, got to the line a few times. She finished with nine points on 4-for-6 shooting.

--Damiris Dantas was the most effective starter today. She had a 10-point, 12-rebound double-double, the second in her rookie season.
