The Gophers women's basketball team has signed two junior college transfers to national letters of intent.

Kynadi Johnson is a 6-foot-1 forward from Butler Community College in Kansas and 6-foot-3 center Karley Barnes played for Tallahassee Community College in Florida.

Johnson averaged 11 points and six rebounds per game last season.

Barnes played high school basketball in Milwaukee. She averaged 7.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in 2014-15 at Tallahassee

The Gophers lost six players from last year's team. Three left during the season and three left afterward, including All-America center Amanda Zahui B., who is expected to be one of the first players chosen in Thursday's WNBA draft.

Jackie Johnson of Eden Prairie, one of the players who left, will transfer to Loyola Marymount in California, where she will be eligible to play after sitting out for a season.
