The Gophers continue their run at No. 1 after a weekend sweep of Notre Dame. They shut out the Irish 5-0 on Friday night and held on for a 4-2 victory on Sunday.

North Dakota remains at No. 2, while Boston University, Massachusetts-Lowell and Michigan Tech climbed into the USCHO Top 5.

Minnesota State moved up four spots to No. 9 after a weekend sweep of Bemidji State. Minnesota Duluth jumped to No. 13 after sweeping St. Cloud State. The Huskies fell from No. 7 to No. 15.

Bowling Green earned a spot in the USCHO Top 20 for the first time since 2007.

The Big Ten was 3-5-0 last weekend and the Gophers remain the conference's only ranked team. Last week I took a look at how college hockey's unique parity could be jeopardy with the newly formed "Power 5." Read it here if you missed it.

Minnesota programs were 6-4-0 over the weekend with all four losses at the hand of an in-state rival. The No. 1 Gophers and No. 13 Bulldogs play a home-and-home series this weekend starting at Mariucci Arena on Friday night.
