Amelia’s pick: Duke. Minnesota technically is still on the list, but this one has felt like a foregone conclusion for some time and Coach K has been cultivating this relationship for years.

Reid Travis, DeLaSalle

6-8, 240-pound power forward

ESPN national ranking: No. 23

2012-13 stats: 26.1 ppg, 9 rpg

Leading candidates: Stanford, Duke, Minnesota

Amelia’s pick: Minnesota. After only six months of recruiting, it would be a huge get for new Gophers coach Richard Pitino. I think the start of a new era begins here.

Rashad Vaughn, Findlay Prep (Nevada)

6-6, 200-pound shooting guard

ESPN ranking: No. 17

2012-13 stats: 28.8 ppg, 10.2 rpg

Leading candidates: Iowa State, UNLV, Minnesota

Amelia’s pick: Iowa State. There are others on the list, and there is plenty of time for things to change with the former Robbinsdale Cooper star waiting until spring to commit. But I’m going with one of the longest relationships in his recruitment.
