Minnesota athletic director Norwood Teague gave each of Jerry Kill's assistant coaches one-year contract extensions before the season started.
Defensive coordinator Claeys, offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover and strength and conditioning coach Eric Klein each have three-year deals that will keep them under contract through the 2015 season. The other seven assistants have two-year deals through 2014.
Claeys has a base salary of $346,800 this year, and is getting an additional $13,000 for each week he's acting head coach. That bonus is retroactive to the Michigan game, and each week since.
