Rowney, Grimaldi lead UND over Denver

NORTH DAKOTA 6, DENVER 3: Carter Rowney had two goals and two assists while Rocco Grimaldi had a goal and three assists as UND (7-5-3, 4-2-3) beat the first-place Pioneers (9-4-2, 7-2-2) at Ralph Engelstad Arena. North Dakota outshot Denver 33-23. Clarke Saunders stopped 20 shots for UND, Sam Brittain 27 for Denver. Trailing 4-1, the Pioneers got two power-play goals within 17 seconds late in the second period. Ty Loney scored the first, Joey LaLeggia the second. It stayed a 4-3 game most of the third period until Danny Kristo scored with three minutes left and Corban Knight with one.

BEMIDJI STATE 2, MINNESOTA-DULUTH 1: Markus Gerbrand and Jordan George, on a power play, scored second-period goals for the visiting Beavers (4-8-2, 3-7-2). And BSU goalie Andrew Walsh did the rest, making 33 saves. Caleb Herbert of UMD (5-8-3, 3-6-3) ruined Walsh's shutout with a 6-on-4 goal with 50 seconds left.

ST. CLOUD STATE 2, NEBRASKA OMAHA 1: Jonny Brodzinski's goal midway through the third period gave the Huskies (9-7-0, 7-5-0) a split in this series at the National Hockey Center. Nick Jensen had the first goal for SCSU in the opening period. Matt White of UNO (10-5-1, 6-3-1) tied the score in the last minute of the same period on a short-handed goal. Ryan Faragher made 23 saves for the Huskies, Anthony Stolarz 26 for UNO.

MICHIGAN TECH 3, WISCONSIN 3 (OT): The Badgers took a 3-1 lead early in the second period, but the visiting Huskies (4-8-3, 3-6-3) rallied to tie on goals by Steven Sergio and Blake Hietala. Tyler Barnes and Joe LaBate, both of Eagan, each had a goal for Wisconsin (2-7-5, 2-5-5). Barnes played for Burnsville in high school, LaBate for Holy Angels.

• MINNESOTA STATE MANKATO 3, ALASKA ANCHORAGE 0: Chase Grant, Eriah Hayes and Zach Lehrke scored goals as the host Mavericks (9-5-2, 7-5-0) won their sixth consecutive conference game. Hayes' goal was his 10th of the season and extending his points streak to eight games. In that stretch he has eight goals and three assists. Stephone Williams, a freshman goalie from Fairbanks, Alaska, stopped 16 shots for MSU to shut out the Seawolves (3-7-4, 1-6-3).
