The Wild signed Hungarian goalie Adam Vay to a two-year, entry level deal to compete for a minor league job.
Vay, 22, played three games at the World Championships before the Hungarians were eliminated. He lost 5-1 to the U.S., making 35 saves; lost 3-0 to Finland, making 48 saves; and stopped 11 of 12 shots in a loss to Canada in a relief stint.
He's expected to challenge Steve Michalek and Brody Hoffman for a post at Iowa.
Vay, 6-5 and 210 pounds, had a 2.75 goals against average in 39 games last season for Debreceni in Hungary.
Vay played for El Paso in the Western States Hockey League from 2013-15, winning a league championship in 2014.
