The Lynx have finalized their opening game roster for the 2012 season. The defending WNBA champions cut guard/forward Julie Wojta of Wisconsin-Green Bay and forward Queralt Casas of Spain to reduce their roster from 13 to 11.
Wojta was a second round draft pick, taken No. 19 overall. Casas was signed as a free agent. Both made good impressions on coach Cheryl Reeve and her staff, but the team opted to retain nine players from last year's team and keep only two new players.
The additions are veteran guard Erin Thorn and 6-2 rookie forward Devereaux Peters, the No. 3 overall pick in the WNBA draft last month.
