Jerry Zgoda missed the entire Kevin Garnett era, but he's back covering the Timberwolves after working the beat for their first four seasons two decades ago. In between, he covered a bit of everything: Gopher men's and women's basketball and NCAA athletics, golf, outdoor recreation, sports media and a little Vikings and Twins.

Love, Ridnour remain out tonight

Luke Ridnour was walking around the Timberwolves locker room and getting treatment before tonight's game against Memphis but coach Rick Adelman said the point guard probably won't play until Sunday against Golden State,

Not sure yet if Kevin Love will show at Target Center, but he's still experiencing concussion symptoms, which means he hasn't cleared the first step yet to begin league-mandated incremental testing to prove he is healthy and ready to play.

The clock is ticking: With just four games and nine days left, it's looking less and less likely by the day that he will play again this season.

Anthony Randolph will start again at power forward tonight, one night after Indiana's David West ate him up in that matchup.

What's the chance he fares much better if he plays much against Zach Randolph, who the Grizzlies are bringing off the bench?

Adelman also said he doesn't expect Darko! to play again this season, but didn't he basically decide that weeks and weeks ago?

Marc Gasol will play for Memphis despite a knee bone bruise.

The Wolves are looking to end a 10-game losing streak and win an April game for the first time since 2009 tonight against a Grizzlies team with which they don't match up well even when they're healthy.
